Designed by Bernd Weel, the Sea Rover is the first in a limited series of ten vessels by the new boatbuilder, Dutch Design. It is the brainchild of buy.com's Scott Blum.

Scott Blum is an American entrepreneur who has owned many yachts. His idea was to create a mini-megayacht for sporty, active owners who use all the toys. "It's integrating travel with total well-being."

Looking like a shrunken Solaris, the Sea Rover is only 42.5 metres long but is able to cross the Atlantic with a range of 4,200nm. Its top speed is 14 knots, and it can sleep 12 guests in five staterooms, along with a further nine crew.

One of the first things you will notice is a large tender area on the bridge deck designed for both a large boat and a car. It also converts to a sports deck for pickleball, basketball, paddle tennis, volleyball or outdoor workouts.
The boat's spa offerings include a dual-temperature plunge pool, a Jacuzzi, a sauna, an infrared therapy wall and a dedicated massage area. The owner, meanwhile, gets an onsen-style tub and a steam room.
Key to the interior design is a central staircase, which runs through all decks and begins as a cubed glass table on the sundeck, refracting natural light into the lower decks. Amazingly, the crew rooms are finished like guest rooms.
The sizeable beach club is arranged with a dining table, sunbeds, wet bar and ample storage. The main internal dining room, further forward, merges with the galley and bar to create a "grand entertainment space".
