This is no ordinary boat. First of all, it uses the latest technology construction materials, it was designed by leading design firm Porsche Design, and it is capable of a staggering speed of 130 km/h. It will no doubt be an exclusive boat as only between 50 and 70 Fearless 28s will be built each year.
The construction of this speedboat revolves around the seamless carbon-fibre reinforced fibreglass deep V-hull that does away with unsightly rivets that, incidentally, also have a negative impact on dynamics. In fact, the design of the upper-deck somehow echoes that of the legendary Porsche sportscars including the 911 and also to some extent the Porsche Carrera GT, making this the world’s first 5-seater sportscar for the water. The yacht is powered by a 550 horsepower V10 taken from the Dodge Viper that has been equipped for marine use. At a cruising speed of 65 km/h, her range just over 260km.
The 28 is the first in a range of Fearless yachts all of which are set to be designed by Porsche Design. The line-up will eventually include a 44, 68, 125 and even a 150 foot model. Jeffrey Binder, the owner and ceo of Fearless Yachts and his son Jordan conferred to Bespoke that they plan on opening a Fearless branch in the Middle East within the next six months.
