Lives in: Milan
1. What do you do? Why do you do it?
I am the CEO in retail and marketing at Slowear. I work in the fashion field because it’s a sector full of creativity, talent, glamour and also culture, that represents Made-in-Italy excellence worldwide.
2. What motivates you most about your work?
The everyday challenges and the personal satisfaction you get when you see that your efforts contribute to making your company grow.
3.Where are you from and (if different) where do you live?
I’m from Milan and I still live here in the Brera district. It’s an area that has the feel of a small town. It’s very friendly and has a very ‘slow’ lifestyle.
4. What five words best describe your town?
Dynamic, glamorous, cultural, international, generous.
5. What’s the most famous thing about where you live?
Brera is full of secret spots to be discovered. For instance, it has magnificent courtyards, some of which were designed by Leonardo Da Vinci.
6. What’s the one thing you would change about your town, if you could?
I think that Milan should be more bike-oriented.
7. If I was visiting and wanted to know what I absolutely shouldn’t miss (sights, food, cultural activities, shops, places to stay etc), what would you recommend (and why)?
I absolutely recommend visiting the Duomo, walking through the Vittorio Emanuele Gallery to the Teatro alla Scala to attend a ballet or an opera and then eating in one of the old Trattoria restaurants.
8. Where is your favourite spot and why?
The La Triennale Museum. It’s a design museum full of art, culture and inspiration, that organises some of the most important exhibitions and international events in the city.
9. What’s the most common conception (or misconception) about your town?
That Milan is a very chaotic city during the week and a desert at the weekend. But during your spare time you’ll discover that this is a very people-oriented city.
10. If you could live anywhere else, where would that be and why?
For business, I would like to live in London because it is starting once again to be a cool, international city with a view to the future but always respecting tradition. For pleasure, I would love to live in San Diego, because it’s a seaside-town.
