Amber Elias is on a roll. Two years ago she founded her company Elias Elite Introductions in Los Angeles, a high-end matchmaking service – read successful and wealthy older men meeting gorgeous young models and actresses – and in her words “business is doing better than I ever could have imagined.”
Talking with Amber I can understand why. The stunning half Lebanese, half-Swedish-Finnish American is exquisite to look at, beguiling in conversation and highly intelligent of mind. It’s no wonder highly successful men and pretty young girls want her help.
“I know it sounds a bit suspect right, but it’s not, honestly. I only work with people who I think I can match and the result is my success rate is through the roof. I aim to put couples together to stay together,” Amber explains.
Can I join up I wonder and go through Amber’s intense interview process to see if I fit the criteria to be one of her clients? “Are you powerful and successful? My male clients have to be successful in order to afford my fees. Power is an aphrodisiac, men with power and status are attractive prospects.”
Hmm… so a creative writer like me doesn’t really have much chance then. Doesn’t being young and good-looking count for anything? “Men and women have different needs,” says Amber. “Women want protection, loyalty and trust out of a man and if the man has the ability to provide those things then it doesn’t necessarily matter how they look.” I see… I think.
“Men want nurturing, care, appreciation – the key to my business is knowing the difference and knowing how to put the right people together, and the sort of people I put together can’t just meet in a bar. It doesn’t happen. That’s why they come to me,” she says.
There’s a sexy charm to Amber. It seems she’s distilled the matchmaking art down to a tee. She only accepts the most beautiful girls on her books, “They must be perfect 10s, aged between 20-50, and successful in their own lives, doing things for themselves.” Not merely gold diggers then. “My business has exploded because I live in LA and the women on my books generally come from here and are the most gorgeous women on the planet – they are actresses, models, and beautiful and that’s perfect for this line of work.” Perhaps I need to move to LA.
The men on her books range in age from 35-65. “I have a high success rate. The fees are high so I need to take on only men who I can match. I only get paid by the men not the women. Right now I have four men on the Fortune 500 list for example.” Uh oh, my chances are rapidly declining of passing Amber’s strict interview process, but then perhaps this isn’t really what it feels like: that is, a discreet and professional way for rich older men to meet sexy younger partners, and even it is what’s ultimately wrong with that? If I was an older single man with cash and connections I wouldn’t say no to a stunning 25-year-old on my arm who can give me real love and appreciate my worth, and it’s highly unlikely such a girl would give me her number in a bar. So why not use Elias Elite Introductions?
“With me only the right people will be put together. It’s the very personal way I do things that makes it work. For example, every man and woman on my books first goes through a serious interview so I know what they really want and what their desires are. If they are not serious or are, in the case of the ladies looking for a cash cow, then I won’t accept them,” says Amber. “Once I accept a male client I’ll show him a list of pictures of the girls on my books who I think fit the criteria of what he’s looking for. At first he’ll see only the picture, first name and age. No other personal details. Then if he likes one, I’ll get in touch with the girl and see if he she’s interested in this particular person. If no, the man will have to choose another, and if yes I give them phone numbers and make sure that if there’s a chemistry they arrange to meet. “I am a consultant, a life coach. I’ll work with both clients through the whole process.”
Amber’s approach is working. When others are falling by the wayside in the global recession, she is increasing her client base all the time. So what’s a typical 24 hours in the life of the legendary Amber Elias like then? “I am early riser and by 6:30am I am already in the gym working out. Then at around 8am I’ll start having my first client meetings, I may have breakfast for example with a Fortune 500 player at the W,” Amber explains.
“Then from 10am to 12 pm I’ll be meeting potential girls in my offices. After that I normally run home, change and head for lunch at Il Pistaio or another place. I am extremely social and it’s highly likely I’ll have a do to go to in the evening that could be anything from a private party or a charity reception featuring the Who’s Who of Hollywood. In that case at around 4pm I’ll go visit my favourite designer Roberto and have him dress me. At 6pm it’ll be hair and make up time then off to the party.” Sounds like the life to me!
“There’s an art to being a woman and an art to romancing a woman if you’re a man. I am an expert in both and I love what I do, and helping my clients achieve happy relationships is my goal. I believe in the process and I love it. I have always set people up and this job is the best place for me!”
