They began the Section-B concept in 2013 but it would only open on Fridays. e used to open one day a week on Fridays. All orders were pre-orders – people needed to book their burgers. We listened to people and we kept adjusting our recipes based on their feedback until we reached the final result, which is now loved by everybody”.
The first Section-B opened in Jeddah in 2015 on Hera Street just behind the Jeddah Hilton, they have since opened five more branches in Jeddah plus expanded to Makkah, Riyadh and Al Khobar.
The buns are whole wheat and brown, which is unusual but they’re soft, doughy baked in-house on a daily basis, and therefore always fresh.
It took them nine months to perfect the balance and taste of the meat and it’s a smashed US Prime Certified Angus beef mince that’s simply seasoned with salt and pepper while grilling.
Diners can customise their burger however they want, choosing which extras to add or lose. The most popular include lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, mushrooms and fried egg.
The menu is short and simple with only the cheese burger and two mini grilled beef burgers, both served with cheddar cheese, iceberg lettuce, fresh cut tomato slices, pickles and Section B special sauce. You can also double up your meat patties and toppings can also be added to your burger, there’s bacon, mushrooms, grilled or caramelized onions, fried egg, jalapeno pepper and a grilled pineapple slice, unique and different.
