Big Boys Toys is an adult playground that’s so much more than a forum for tech-driven gadgets and racing. At its heart, it’s a platform for cutting-edge innovation. Starting this November (18 – 21), the event’s back in Abu Dhabi, its original home, after being hosted in Dubai for the past three years.
“Now that Big Boys Toys’ roots extend deep into the fabric of the region’s event landscape, we’re thrilled to be returning to ADNEC (the Abu Dhabi National Exhbition Centre) and offering our loyal and passionate visitors a convenient, world-class facility to experience the high-end gadgets, cutting-edge technologies, never seen products and bespoke luxury experiences they’ve come to expect at the show,” said Biju Jayaraaj, Chief Executive Officer of Artaaj Events, the company that owns and organises the show.
Exhibitors this year number over 200 and cover the gamut from fashion and lifestyle, marine, aviation, off-road cars, digital, wellness and adventure industries. Apart from the custom superyachts, 1 million USD handmade bespoke safe boxes from Doettling and MK1 personal submersibles, what else should you expect?
For one, you’ll be part of the international debut of the 250,000 USD ‘Michelangelo,’ a customised motorbike, built by the award-winning engineer L.J Miller. Then there’s the high-speed state of the art drone by Wingcopter, which you’ll be the first to see in action, as well as Aeroline, an exclusive recliner chair using technology derived from kinematic that offers an innovative way to relax in motion, resulting in a unique experience of weightlessness. This is not to mention the FLYTE levitating light bulb, Trunkster’s intelligent zipper-less luggage and the world’s first electric-powered wakeboard by Radinn Wakejet, that uses lithium-ion battery technology and is speed-controlled by a wireless and waterproof remote or the world's priciest champagne cooler (726,500 USD) by Van Perckens, made out of 20 carat gold.
